Situated west of Hartbeesport Dam alongside the Elephant sanctuary it provides an environment where monkeys (primates) can be given their freedom in a natural environment. The sanctuary situated in one of the many Kloofs (Gorges) of the Magaliesberg mountain range provides the perfect environment for Monkeys from around the world.

Q: Are we allowed to walk through the park by ourselves and touch the monkeys?
A: No, we have a strict policy of de-humanization in order to assist the primates in the process of family structure forming. All tours are structured and guided. The experience is described as a non-interactive game-viewing opportunity to see once-captive primates in a wild environment Q: Are we allowed to feed the monkeys? A: No, we are introducing once captive monkeys back into the wild. They are encouraged to search and hunt for food themselves and not be dependant on being fed by humans as pets. Monkeys eat fruit, insects, tree leaves; tree bark and sap, there is a huge selection of food sources directly out of the park and we have twelve feeding stations to supplement any dietary needs. Q: Can we donate our pet monkey? A: Yes you may, please contact the sanctuary and our Operations Manager will assist with the process. Q: Can we have a meal at the sanctuary? A: Yes, we have a Coffee Bar where we serve light lunches and we have picnic baskets on order. Q: Can we buy souvenirs at the sanctuary? A: Yes, we do have a curio section in the reception area, where we sell a variety of soft toys, souvenirs, t-shirts, handbags and much more. The proceeds go to primate projects. Q: Can we book a tour with you for the elephant program. A: No, although both sanctuaries belong to one owner, they are separate establishments. We do offer combined packages for groups to visit both sanctuaries. Q: Can our company have a teambuilding conference at Bushbabies.
